Hi there! Our website is finally recovered after a server crash. We were very pleased to receive so many letters and comments with words of support during this difficult period. Thank you for that (and special thanks for X[1011] and Librarian from LG project for your help in restoring)!

Unfortunately, not all files were recovered (but we successfully restored more than 99.8% of our collection) and about 13 thousand books were lost... but don't worry, we have most of these books in other formats. So now we need your help. We have created a page that displays the current list of irretrievably lost books. If you have something from the list - please upload it to our library. Also, do not be surprised if your limit suddenly decreases (as you remember we doubled the limit only for the recovery period).

So, we continue to acquaint you with the new updates on our site. The most curious users may have noticed and tried out our new feature named “Terms”. Terms are the most important words/concepts or phrases found in the text of the book. Using terms you can quickly understand the book contents.

When you click on the "term" you get to the page with a list of books sorted by the frequency of use of the term. This will allow you to find more books on similar topics. In other words, this is another type of full-text search and navigation.

In the last post, we talked about the “Suggest a correction” option that will help us correct the wrong information about the book. We also added the “Suggested Corrections” page where you can find your suggestions and its status (On Review, Approved or Declined). It is located on the side menu of your profile.

Users who offered the most suggestions get to our top list. You can check if your name is there via the “Top Z-Librarians” tab on the side menu.

The next small but useful update is the timer that displays when the download counter will be reset. It is enough just to hover over your name in the upper right corner of the page. Thanks to our regular user Abro for suggesting this idea!

And the last for today, we have significantly expanded the list of languages ​​available in the advanced search. The following languages ​​appeared: Swedish, Hungarian, Serbian, Latin, Croatian, Czech, Kazakh, Belarusian, Indonesian, Lithuanian, Catalan, Finnish, Azerbaijani, Korean, Bengali, Esperanto, Hindi, Urdu, Danish, Uzbek, Slovak, Norwegian, Vietnamese, Indigenous, Bashkir, Marathi, Kirghiz, Tajik, Tatar, Albanian, Somali, Icelandic, Mongolian, Latvian, Sanskrit.
